You Are More Than Enough
People say, Dedy you can do it, but I can’t. You can
write, speak in front of a camera but I can’t. You have a special talent to do
all of that but I can’t. Are you serious? I have no idea about speaking or
writing because I never been to school to learn about it. If you watch my
videos, you will find my English as a broken English where sometimes I forgot
my joining words. Writing sometimes I don’t even know how to spell, undoubtedly
you’ll spot a grammar error here, and you say to me that I have a special
talent. Really?
I hear this every time I share the possibility that
they can do anything. These people believe that they are not good enough, or
think that other people are better than them, this is endemic, all of us suffer
from this mental illness. What makes you think that other people better than
you? Are you out of your mind? You are more than enough, that beautiful voice
that you produce from your vocal cords, that incredible mind of yours that can
think and create, your uniqueness to express yourself freely, and you tell me
that you are not good enough? I understand that limiting beliefs could come
from your environment or people that don’t believe in you. I remember
distinctly when my brother said to me when I declared to him that I want to go
to Australia, he said, “Dedy you never been to school, you don’t know how to
speak English, so forget it!” That’s what he said, and he said it with
conviction. Imagine if I were to listen to him, do you think I’ll be here and
write this message? Do you think I will be in Australia? No chance.
In your life, you have people that support you and people that aren’t. It’s just the reality of it. The people that aren’t could be your own brothers or sisters, sometimes our own parents because they give us advice based on their limiting beliefs. So if we are not conscious of this, we would quickly fall into their limiting beliefs. I know you can relate to this, sometimes you have a conversation with your family or friends, and you notice their limiting beliefs, and they tried to impose that on to you. My suggestion is to get the hell out of there as I did. Otherwise, you’ll go around and tell people, no I can’t do that, but you can. That’s just full of crap! You can do anything or be anything, and YOU are more than enough.
